Chris Holland, AEPG’s Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President of Retirement Plan Solutions, had the honor of moderating and participating on a panel titled “Managing Money in New York – Finding Your Niche” at the New York RIA Summit in Midtown, New York on February 7th 2019. Chris led a dynamic seminar with three other panelists on differentiated and valuable services in a crowded New York marketplace. The panelists focused on key areas of client interest and needs, including concentrated business risk, direct private investment, allocating risk, inter-generational wealth transfer, discussing the nuances of effectively helping their clients achieve their wealth management goals. Chris discussed the unique challenges that come with 401(k)s, including improving participant behavior, retirement readiness, QDIAs and investment vehicles, and best practices in participant guidance and education. Chris also discussed the complexity of participant lineups, the challenges of retirement income from a retirement plan, and the future of using 401(k) plans as a portion of a client’s overall retirement plan.
