Daniel E. Perrine provides actuarial and consulting services to health and welfare funds and serves as actuary to our multi-employer pension fund clients. Dan has more than 30 years’ experience in benefit plan design and administration. By continually monitoring our clients’ retirement plans and communicating clearly with plan participants, he is able to provide effective strategies in the face of frequent regulatory changes and new developments in our clients’ businesses.
Dan has run his own successful actuarial consulting firm for almost 20 years. He was a consultant for a major New York actuarial firm and a vice president and part owner of a mid-sized New Jersey actuarial consultancy. He also helped develop popular financial planning software.
After writing questions for several years for the Enrolled Actuaries’ Exams, Dan served as vice chairman and chairman for the Enrolled Actuaries’ Exam Committee and spent 6 years as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries. He speaks regularly on pension-related topics at various meetings for accountants and other professionals.
As a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Dan is listed as a “qualified actuary” for purposes of actuarial equivalent attestation under the new Medicare Prescription Drug program, and prepares reports for compliance with FAS 87, 88, 106, 112, 132, and SOP 92-6.
Dan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary (EA). He earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
