An attorney and insurance expert with more than 35 years of experience in financial services, Don is uniquely qualified to provide expert advice to individuals regarding their life insurance, disability insurance, and long term care insurance. In addition to serving his own financial planning clients, Don is the insurance specialist on the AEPG team and consults and mentors the rest of the team. Don’s knowledge spans a broad range of fields including business fringe benefits, insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and investments. Don applies his deep knowledge to his client’s unique circumstances to develop personalized, custom solutions for them.

In law school Don learned to think critically and follow a logical process.  It is these skills along with Don’s intellectual curiosity and ability to build trust-based relationships that make him such a valued advisor to his clients. Don has enabled hundreds of individuals and business owners to lower their taxes and increase their financial security by developing comprehensive financial plans based on their risk management and asset management needs.

Don holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. He has conducted continuing education seminars for CPAs and other professionals.  Don is constantly seeking out advances in insurance and financial planning and the availability of new solutions through seminars, research and academia so he can provide his clients with the most innovative ideas for risk and wealth management strategies.

Don is a retired member of the New Jersey Bar with a JD from New York Law School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rutgers, the State University.  He is past president and was a longtime board member of the North Jersey Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Don currently serves on the Endowment and Finance committees for a charitable organization, and he enjoys biking, hiking and reading.
