Eugene Francis

Vice President, Financial Life Planning

I enjoy solving problems for my clients.

Gene provides comprehensive financial planning services to his clients.  He enjoys working with and providing specialized services to clients with a wide variety of needs and statuses.  “My clients are great, and I will support them in every way to help them achieve their financial goals.” Gene’s extensive financial knowledge and experience, coupled with AEPG’s strong wealth management platform and cohesive team approach, enables him to be a great resource to his clients.

Prior to joining AEPG, Gene founded Bridgewater Personal Financial Planning in 1995 where he successfully built a clientele of individuals and small business owners, which he maintained until 2002.   He previously worked in management for the chief financial officer’s organization at AT&T.  Gene had always been interested in investments and financial planning, and pursued the career in financial planning because he was passionate about working with people rather than with systems.

Gene is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) professional and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living® (CASL®) designations. He was elected to the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey’s (FPANJ) Board of Directors for 2015 and is a Co-Director of the FPNJ’s Strategic Alliances Committee.  He also serves on the FPANJ’s Major Conferences Committee.

Gene earned an MBA from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He also studied accounting at Pace University. Gene is a member of the Rutgers Alumni Association and has been actively involved with Rutgers fund raising campaigns.  He has also served on the Bridgewater Recreation Board of Advisors.  Gene enjoys reading, exercising and walking his dogs, and he looks forward to taking courses on art and gardening.
