Gary has worked in the financial services industry for over 13 years in various roles developing a deep and broad exposure to the financial markets. Gary joins AEPG from Merrill Lynch where most recently, Gary was the Senior Investment Analyst for a Private Banking & Investment Team located in New York. There he was responsible for managing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, developing multiple model portfolios, delivering market commentary, proposing new investment ideas, and overseeing the performance review process.
Prior to that, from 2013 through 2015 Gary was an Investment Specialist within the Managed Solutions Group at Merrill. There he provided portfolio construction and investment management advice and guidance to financial advisors and their clients. He also provided investment manager coverage within the fixed income asset class for his team, where he focused his research on both taxable and tax-exempt fixed income investment managers offered through the firm’s Investment Advisory platform.
From 2006 through 2012, Gary worked in the Capital Markets Group, where he traded equities, as well as preferred and convertible securities. In that role, Gary developed a broad knowledge of the various capital markets, including a deep understanding of electronic trading venues, algorithmic trading, and broker-dealer relations. In addition, he traded securities for retail clients including venture capital participants and corporate executives. Gary’s first role was a Portfolio Analyst as he performed several portfolio management roles for the Mutual Fund Advisor platform including orchestrating model changes and analyzing cash flows.
Gary earned his B.S. in Business at the College of New Jersey and an M.B.A. in Finance from Seton Hall University. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2012. Gary, his wife, and daughter Avery reside in Morris Township, NJ.
