William C. Corson

Vice President, Group Benefits

Relationships are developed by being honest and fair.

An insurance industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Bill Corson believes that providing top-notch service to his clients is his number one priority. To provide a high level of service, Bill views his group as an extension his clients’ HR departments.  “The more I know about my clients, the better I am able to serve them,” says Bill.   With this knowledge, Bill provides expert insight to his clients on controlling health insurance costs and developing overall long-term benefits plan strategies.  He connects with his clients and partners with them to optimize their entire employee benefits package.

Prior to joining AEPG, Bill was a carrier representative with Home Life Insurance Company, worked in the benefits departments of third-party administrators (TPAs) such as Performax, and initiated the benefits program at Singer Fulton Insurance Services.

Bill holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation and the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) certification.  Bill has been “PPACA” certified by the National Association for Health Underwriters (NAHU) to keep pace with the new health care reform laws.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colgate University.

Bill is past president of the local chapters of NAHU and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He also served on NAHU’s state board.

Outside the office, Bill  serves as Executive Producer for Light Opera of New Jersey, a successful regional theater company that he and his wife founded in 1995. He also directs music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge.
